Where Did That Tune Come From?
July 13 & 20

The hymns we sing each week have two parts: the text and the music. Perhaps you’ve wondered why a particular tune is so powerfully associated with a certain text, or why we sometimes use a different tune with a favorite text. This two-session class will address those and other musical issues of hymnody old and new. Come prepared to sing!
Led by Dr. Timothy Howard.

Pilgrimage and the Search for Renewal
July 27 & August 3

Led by Dr. Mark Smutny

August 10 - No Adult Classes Held

There will be an ice cream social on the Patio as we send best wishes and
prayers with Mark Smutny as he begins his three-month sabbatical.

The Sacred Journey
PART ONE: Our Collective Stories of Faith
August 17 – September 7

As Co-Pastor Mark Smutny embarks on his sabbatical pilgrimage, we will enter into a parallel pilgrimage as a congregation. Join us as we share stories of our experience in community and the shaping of our own spiritual journeys guided by four themes: Community Origins, Memories, Big Choices, Self-Offerings. (Part Two of this series, Individual Stories of Faith will be offered in the fall.) Led by Rev. Erin Thomas, part of our Sabbatical staff.

Sunday Morning Live!
Sunday Morning Live is a Children’s Worship program for children grades K-5. Children are invited to leave the adult worship service after the Passing of the Peace and join caring leaders for a lively age-appropriate worship experience. On the first Sunday of each month, children remain in regular worship with their families for a communion service.

Nursery
Nursery care and carefully supervised play activities are provided by qualified childcare staff and volunteers for infants, toddlers and pre-school children whose parents prefer this.
The nursery in Parish House Room 101 is open each Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
